From 80 degrees to 4 inches of snow

Downtown2 (Small)

Hurrican treeThe view from Southwest Airlines flight 1134 today as it came in over downtown St. Louis heading for Lambert International Airport.  You can see the Gateway Arch and if you look close you can see the new Busch Stadium under construction just behind it (The half circle).  The last section of old Bush Stadium went down last night.

The temperature was 80 degrees in Fort Myers when we left there this morning.  It was 18 degrees and 4 inches of snow on the ground when we arrived in St. Louis late this afternoon.

It took me longer to get from Lambert Field to my home (40 miles or so) in the snow than it took to get from Fort Myers Florida to St. Louis.

Hurricane Survivor
This is a tree in Port Charlotte Florida that is trying to come back from the stripping it got from hurricane Charley in August of 2004. You can see the new life that is growing from it.   There are many trees like this in the region.
